Hesby Involved Parents (a.k.a. HIP)

HIP is the parent organization at Hesby Oaks. The goals of HIP are to:

• Enrich the curriculum
• Plan extracurricular events
• Build new grade-level and school-wide traditions
• Bridge the gap between what LAUSD provides and the quality educational experiences our children deserve

HIP works to financially assist, support and empower Hesby Oaks Leadership Charter in providing superior educational opportunities for the students through fundraising activities, events, and local business partnerships that foster educational excellence, parental involvement and community pride.

There are elections every May for the Board positions that are elected. President and Vice President are elected in even years, Secretary and Treasurer in odd years, Middle School VP is annual. The appointed positions are chosen by the elected board.
